I created this website to showcase my front-end development skills as well as promote myself further. I first created this site as part of an assessment piece, but after some inspiration from a friend I decided to rework the site to express myself better. I was able to create this site without the need for automated software or templates. Please feel free to inspect my code.

What was the project?

Using standard HTML5 and CSS3 as well as vanilla javascript and jQuery, my team and I were tasked with conceptualising, refining and implementing a web-based application from data collected by the State Library of Queensland.

We created an educational tool aimed at teaching young primary school students about the life and history of Australian convicts. We created a click adventure that allowed users to explore as different convicts and earn their freedom by answering quiz questions. We aimed to create an immersive personalisable educational app that encouraged student learning.

Using only vanilla JavaScript and jQuery I created an interactive website based on a section from The Lord of the Rings books written by J.R.R Tolkein. It featured interactive elements and animations as well as a hand written carousel mode that displayed the story itself.
